Newable, in partnership with Fareham Borough Council, is offering a comprehensive package of free support to help Fareham businesses re-adjust, sustain and thrive in the new landscape.

What is the Wider Business Support Programme?

This support programme is designed to help Fareham based SMEs address business challenges, build capability and evolve their business to reach the next level of growth.

There are four programme 'Lots' available, each focused on fast-tracking growth in a specific area. Businesses are invited to apply for one or multiple Lots:

Lot 2. Scaling & Diversification Unlocking Innovation for Growth

Lot 5. General Advice
Building Business Resilience: Sustain, Adapt & Grow

Lot 1. Digital SupportImproving Digital Presence & e-Commerce

What does the programme offer?

  • Bespoke advice from a dedicated expert business adviser
  • Up to 12 hours of 1-2-1 support for each Lot you take part in (you can apply for multiple)
  • An in-depth diagnostic and strategic analysis of your business
  • A tailored action plan
  • Up to 20 virtual masterclasses (colleagues can also attend)
  • Guidance and referrals to crucial resources, networks and additional support
  • Peer networking with like-minded Fareham businesses leaders

Am I eligible for the Wider Business Support Programme?

To be eligible, your business must:

  • Be based in or have operations in Fareham
  • Be registered in the UK
  • Not be exceeding Subsidy Control Limits by receiving this grant (see guidance here)
  • Not be in administration, insolvent, received a striking off notice or be a dormant company
  • Have not received/currently receiving this type of support from this provider or another scheme

The Four Programme Lots

Each Lot is free to participate in - places are in high demand with a limited number of spaces available.

Lot 1. Digital Support: Improving Digital Presence and e-Commerce

Is your business looking to boost its digital presence and access new customers through e-Commerce? Explore new strategies to transform online in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. 

Access thought-provoking insights from leading experts and work with a highly experienced Digital Adviser to maintain momentum.

Dates: Summer 2021 - January 2022

Events: Access up to 20 virtual workshops including Digital Upskilling, Website Optimisation and Mastering Visual Content

Lot 2. Scaling & Diversification: Unlocking Innovation for Growth

Build and implement your strategic vision across your operations and team, plus fast-track the innovation of your technology, process and products/services. 

Work with a highly experienced Scale Up Adviser to identify gaps, build your adaptation capability and establish a robust growth management plan. 

Dates: Summer 2021 - January 2022

Events: Access up to 20 virtual workshops including Evolving Your Business Model, IP & Investment Valuation, Business Sustainability and Market Research

Lot 4. Key Sector Advice: Supporting Aviation, Aerospace, Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing

Tailor designed for SMEs in these sectors, this Lot is designed to help you access finance, boost sales, tap into larger supply chains, protect your IP and much more. 

Access expert support to build a strategy for ongoing sustainable growth and work with a highly experienced Sector Specialist Adviser to address roadblocks and achieve your ambitions.

Dates: Summer 2021 - January 2022

Events: Access up to 20 virtual workshops including Evolving Your Business Model, Continuity Planning & Supply Chains, Sustainability and Market Research 

Lot 5. General Advice: Building Business Resilience - Sustain, Adapt & Grow

Build your resilience, establish a robust growth management plan and commercialise your value. This Lot is designed to help SMEs boost productivity, sustain and adapt in today's rapidly changing landscape.

Challenge your thinking and stay on track with a highly experienced Specialist Adviser supporting you throughout.

I found the presentation extremely informative and easy to understand - I will try and implement a lot of the suggestions made.
